BabyFood Recipe :Ragi Porridge

Ragi is a wholesome food for your baby’s overall development. Also known as Finger millet or Nachni, it is a treasure of proteins, natural iron. Calcium (for strengthening bones), fibre and improves skin and hair. I buy Organic Ragi powder as it is easy to incorporate.

What you need!
1 cup water 2 tsp Ragi Powder
1 tsp Ghee Jaggery (optional)
Dry Fruits (Optional)

How to Prepare
Heat ghee in a pan.
Under low flame, add Ragi and saute it until a nice aroma comes out.
Pour water stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Ensure the flour is blended well.
Add powdered dry fruits/jaggery (Optional). For sweetening, I add blended raisins.

Switch off and serve warm.

Life Hacks:-
# It is best not to add milk in ragi porridge as their nutrients do not blend well. Ragi being natural iron hinders with the absorption of Calcium in milk.
# Too much Ragi can cause constipation in babies. Check on the quantity your baby is having.

# Ragi can cause constipation sometimes. In that case, give your baby lukewarm water after 1/2 hour of Ragi consumption.
